Surge in cases at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek

We've seen a surge of cases involving the parking lots for music venues in Wake County like Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek.  Most of these cases involve the parking lot and include blanket charges for some people who may not be involved with underage drinking or marijuana possession.  Over the summer for summer concerts we've seen numerous arrests and minor drug charges for things like underage drinking and marijuana possession.  Often the police will see a group of students and issue several citations to everyone in the group even if some in the group may not have been drinking under the age of 21.

It's important to be very careful if you're in the parking lot for major concerts like Dave Matthews Band on July 20th, Keith Urban on July 27th, Dierks Bentley on August 9th and Phish on August 10th. For the police these parking lots are like shooting fish in a barrel and they can sometimes end up charging people in large groups who were not part of criminal activity.  You should be very careful when in the parking lot ahead of any of the major Wake County concerts.

If you are charged with marijuana possession, underage drinking or driving with an open container call 1 (919) 585-1486 or e-mail our Wake County office located in Cary (  to schedule a free consultation with one of our criminal defense lawyers and learn more about how we can help you through your charges.  For many clients the goal is a dismissal and then an expungement of all public records.  We offer flat fee pricing and also handle expungements for our clients if they are eligible - after their case is resolved.
