You Got a Traffic Ticket in Wake or Chatham County, What Now?

Do I Need a Lawyer for my Speeding Ticket?

Our experienced Raleigh and Pittsboro traffic lawyers are familiar with the court process. We recommend that you seek the advice of a traffic lawyer before you pay off your ticket or appear in court on your own.  An experienced attorney can talk to you about your options and help you choose the option that is best for you. Our goal is always to prevent an increase of insurance and DMV points, so that your insurance cost does not go up.

Do I have to show up for Traffic Court?

You may be thinking, can’t I just pay my ticket fine by mail? You can pay your ticket by mail, but if you do you are admitting guilt which could result in an increase or suspension of your insurance. Depending on the charge, you could also suffer DMV consequences including the suspension of your license. Most of the time, our attorneys can appear in court for you so that you do not need to go on your own.

Can’t I Save Money by Doing This Alone?

You can handle a ticket on your own, and it might be cheaper in the short term. However, handling your ticket incorrectly could result in a costly increase in insurance premiums. It is important that an experienced traffic lawyer take a look at your DMV record and driving history to avoid any extra fines or an increase in your vehicle insurance.
